4. ON-SITE INSTALLATIONS

Inotec’s experienced installation team can provide high quality mechanical installation works and insulations for:

  • food,
  • beverages,
  • diary,
  • chemical,
  • detergents and cosmetic plants.

Our mechanical fitters and welders are qualified to use methods and technologies that ensure a fast and reliable installation.

Inotec welders are TÜV certified according to PED 2014/68/EU and EN ISO 9606-1 to perform mechanical installations of process and utility pressure piping in the following domains:

Process piping

25 mm ≤ DN ≤ 500 mm, -50°C ≤ T ≤ +440°C, Pmax ≤ 40 bar

Utility piping

32 mm ≤ DN ≤ 800 mm, Tmax ≤ +440°C, Pmax ≤ 40 bar

The welders are qualified for WIG and MIG/MAG procedures.

Stainless steel piping fabrication

For pipes preparation, cutting and beveling are used Orbitalum GF machines, that uses Planetary Cutting Technology to ensures the perpendicularity of the cut and productivity.

The welding of the stainless steel piping is performed according to Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) procedure, with internal inert gas purge.

If it is needed, automatic orbital welding ORBIMAT is also available. After welding, the external welds are cleaned, pickled and passivated. The internal welds are cleaned and treated by recirculation with passivation agents.

  • Stainless steel cladding 0.4 – 1 mm assembled with rivets or self-tapping screws

Insulation piping fabrication

Proper insulation installation for piping is critical to its effectiveness. Before insulation, the pipe must be cleaned, dried and protected with anti-corrosive coating. The insulation material is installed over the pipe by wrapping (blanket, sheet), by foaming (PUR) or by application (insulation preformed). All pipe insulation longitudinal and circumferential joints must be sealed using the self-seal lap and butt strips.

If a vapor barrier (retarder) is required for the insulation, a protective foil is applied completely adhered to the insulation. The cladding is fitted over the insulated pipeline using the with rivets or self-tapping screws. For maintenance, the valves are insulated with removable insulation covers.

Quality control (QC) is set of procedures and methods intended to ensure that a manufactured product or performed service adheres to a defined set of quality criteria or meets the requirements of the customer.

All products and services provided by Inotec are quality controlled during on-going manufacturing, finally inspected before delivery and monitoring during operation.

For quality control during products manufacturing and during on-site installation, advanced measurement instruments and testing methods are used.

Video endoscopy

The video endoscopy is used for internal inspection of pipe systems. Video endoscope equipment operates on the principle that a small electronic sensor detects the image and transmits the signals recorded to a video processor from which the signal is sent to a monitor. The electronic sensor is placed at the end of a flexible fiber optics cable. The cable could have lengths up to 30 meters and with a diameter down to 6 mm. The picture of the weld can be saved.

The video endoscope is used in Inotec’s workshop for process units internal inspection and on-site to inspect the quality of pipelines installation. For traceability all welds are marked, and those subject to video endoscope control will be checked and accompanied by an inspection report.

Hydrostatic tests

Hydrostatic test or pressure test is a method to test pressure vessels and pipelines for strength and leaks. The test involves filling the vessel or pipe system with gas, usually air, or liquid, usually water, and pressurization of the system to the specified test pressure. The liquid pressure testing is performed using a hydrostatic test stand consisting in pressure supply pump and instrumentation. The leaks and pressure lost are identified. Using hydrostatic test helps maintain safety standards and durability of the vessel or pipeline over time.

Dye-penetrant tests

Dye penetrant inspection (DP), also called liquid penetrate inspection (LP) is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to check welding surface defects such as cracks, surface porosity, leaks and fatigue cracks. Large number of welding seams can be inspected rapidly and at low cost. By this method only surface-breaking defects of the welds can be identified.

NDT

Non-destructive testing (NDT) includes a variety of analysis techniques to assess the properties of the materials and the accuracy of assembly without causing any damage to the material in the process.

Welding control of thin-walled pipes is usually done by radiographic X-ray or gamma-ray testing. Only suitably trained and qualified personnel should practice this type of testing, because of health and safety implications. Radiographic testing provides a permanent film record of weld quality that is relatively easy to interpret by trained personnel.

For traceability all welds are marked, and those subject to NDT control will be checked and accompanied by an inspection report. The goal is to reduce the number of defective welds as low as possible, and the final product to have zero welding defects.

5. TURN KEY PROJECTS

Inotec is able to provide high-quality products, process units and plants that are designed, supplied, built, fully installed and ready to operate.

This kind of approach is commonly requested for new projects or upgrading of existing production facilities to extend the customer’s plant capacity and performance.

To manage turnkey projects involves complex integrated activities relevant to engineering, procurement, prefabrication, construction, start-up and commissioning.

The goal is to integrate management, engineering, manufacturing, execution and implementation resources to achieve specific project goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time.
